MRHS Book Club is back in for its fourth season. The Club is stepping up to the plate and punching above its weight. It never drops its guard while going the whole nine yards. It's leaving the competition spinning their wheels while heading for a photo finish. (It might be time we started reading some sports stories. Does The Hunger Games count?) (:-)
New Club Day! The Book Club meets in the Library every Wednesday this year throughout the whole lunch hour. Bring your lunches with you and enjoy the comraderie that fills the room as we discuss books, more books, and maybe some other books while we're here. Our first unanimous vote for 'first read of the year' is The Leaving by Tara Altebrando. We have also selected two titles, This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, as the optional 'first' reads because we can't supply enough copies for any single title as yet.
There will be a new contest in the Library this year. Details to follow next month. Hint: It deals with writing 'dystopian' fiction.
